What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a focused, brain-body therapy developed by David Grand that helps access and process trauma stored in the subcortical or “survival” brain. By identifying specific eye positions, called “brainspots”, that correlate with unprocessed emotional experiences, clinicians can bypass cognitive defenses and work directly with the eight nervous systems of the body. This allows clients to release deeply held trauma, reduce painful symptoms, and achieve lasting healing in ways that go far beyond traditional talk therapy.
