August '24 - Helping with performance goals

Helping Your Clients with ANY Performance Goal

As Brainspotters we are in a unique Position to assist our clients with everyday performance goals, even if it is not sports or creative performance goals. Through Activated and Expansion Brainspotting I have been helped in my goal to spend more time in meditation and solitude. At my Phase One Training, I received a Double Spotting Brainspotting session on my performance anxiety with tennis. We found where my anxiety spot was highest as well as a spot that was my best and most relaxed performance, ever. After that session, I went up two levels in my tennis rating.

Sometimes clients lose parts of themselves due to trauma. I have discovered that clearing the traumatic events that led to a loss of that part of them does not mean the desired part comes back. For example, I have clients who stopped exercising after a traumatic divorce out of financial fear and literally could not run anymore. I personally stopped doing art after trauma in Junior High. I received one session of pure Expansion in remembering the joy I felt while doing my art and I have not stopped painting since.

In my Expansion class I teach many performance techniques. Here is the basic Performance Expansion Frame as well as the double spotting frame. Always ask your client if they prefer Expansion only, or an Activated AND Expansion spot. Our clients always know!

If you are interested in learning more about Performance Brainspotting please come to my Trauma Mama Hour on Wednesday, August 7th from 10:45 to 12:00 noon to see a live demonstration. (Zoom Link is below)
